One Short Day...
Mar. 15th, 2005 09:39 pmWow! I'm actually updating 2 days in a row! I haven't done that since... during exam break, and even *then* it was really only one update and one random post of nothingness!
*realizes that she's tangenting before she even begins*
So... today was fun... ^_^
Today I went Toronto-ing with my mom and sister. We left the house at 7:30-ish... and not long after, I realized that I left a) my watch and b) my lip balm at home. Plus, I had a tummy ache that came and went throughout the day.
Luckily, that was the worst part of my day. ^^;
So... we drove to Pickering, and took the GO train into Union Station, then took the subway the rest of the way to the Bada Shoe Museum. Got their early, so we walked up and down the street before going inside. It was nice... but there was a group of loud elementary students that arrived about 15 minutes-half an hour after we did... >.< Bada was actually interesting... though we were suprised they didn't have more exhibits. Aunt Vi would love it. ^_~
After we were done in there, we went back on the subway (yay for March Break family day passes!) and took it back to St. Patrick station. We had lunch (sandwiches we brought from home), and walked around Chinatown and Kensington market. There were a couple places I wanted to go/things I wanted to look at... but I didn't know where they were... -_- That's why I like Toronto-ing... get to explore, find where things are, and learn what to find out for next time.
Sooo... then we headed down towards John Street (right near where MUCH is... but that's not where we were headed...) and went into Second Cup. I got apple cider, while mom and Joyce got hot chocolate. Just as we were finishing up... Kira came in! That was a pleasant suprise. ^_^
The next place we went was the National Film Board of Canada. I saw Ryan there. Before
red_sniper freaks out... they've got these cool movie-viewing things there that allows you to watch about an hour's worth of stuff from their archives for free. The Acadamy Award-winning short Ryan was one of the available titles. So... I saw that... and a couple other random things, as did mom and Joyce on their own console thingy.
That was basically all we did besides walking back to Union Station and going to Timmies (no tea though... so no rrrrrrrrrolling :( just snacks). It was a fun day all in all.
Guess what my dad bought today! THE INCREDIBLES! So... we watched it... it was everyone's fist time except me... but I noticed sooo many things that I didn't the first time... and more things that I had forgotten (like Syndrome having a cape... ^^;). Twas good.
And... that's basically everything that happened today.
Tomorrow, C-chan must get the rest of her Shakespeare monologue memorised (for University audition thingy... eep!) and probably hunt for easter eggs on the Incredibles DVDs with Joyce.
( Happy Tuesday! )
