Do you know what's sad?
I just made rice krispie squares for the first time, ever.
Why is this sad?
I dunno. Partially because I needed a recipe, and didn't know whether or not it mattered if I used big marshmallows or little ones, and didn't use a big enough pot, or didn't know how to flatten them out... That and the fact that Joyce has already made them too many times to count. ^^;;;
It's also sad that I've hardly started studying... but in the meantime, I have for you a bad attempt at killing exams.
( The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword )
So, Jason, now you can't say that I haven't tried. :P
In Sunday School today, we were finding parallels between the Book of Mormon (and to a lesser part, the bible) and LOTR. It was hillarious. For those of you, it all started when David, our teacher, posted this picture on our bullatin board, and we noticed that the two celestial figures (who are supposed to be God and Jesus) look like a slightly older version of Vigo's interpetation of Aragorn. Of course, it doesn't help that there is a person in the early history of the Book of Mormon named Sam, and that we've managed to find parallels for Frodo (Sam's brother Nephi), the One Ring (the plates... actually, we've decided that they are what was formed when someone melted down the rest of the rings... :P), Sting (The Sword of Laban) and the "star in a bottle" as Joyce put it (the object that I forget the name of that guided Lehi's family to the "new world")...
For the record, I am not Mormon. I am a member of the Community of Christ. There are some simmilarities, but probably more differences.
I was coughing all through the service today... -_- I think I may be allergic to something... mom suggested I try sitting elsewhere and see if that helps. *sigh*
Sinse it was Father's Day, I was very suprised that "God of our Fathers" was not a hymn sung. Disappinted too. However, Doreen seemed to be on the same wavelength as me, 'cause guess what the procession song was! *giggles* That song is so awesome. Its better sung a capella than with accompaniment though... cause that way you get to do the trumpet part, which is exactly what makes the song a) fun, and b) perfect to use to wake up unsuspecting campers. Hense why it is a favourite among all of us Norontonians.
Now, onto non-religious things.
Exams are this week. In-class is tomorrow, but I don't have any. On the contrary, I have a pizza party! *grins*
I can't believe that it'll be the last time I'll ever see some people. That's just...
I'm going to miss everyone so much. KEEP IN TOUCH GUYS! I LOVE YOU ALL!
I'm going to have to do a ton of studying over the week. Not that I really need it perse... I need to get a good mark on my French exam, but it's multiple choice grammar and then an essay, so I'm not worried about it at all. I am more worried at how I will do on the other two, but I don't require to do particularily well in them, because as long as I do well in French, I'll have my top 6 marks averaging out to (hopefully) 90+. I already know I'm gonna get a high 60/low 70 in Calc (bad for me, but I don't care), and high 70/low 80 in chem (my general "low mark" area...).
I need to choose what courses I'm going to take next year. I already know some for certain, 'cause I need them for either co-op or drama. I'm thinking of trying out for the choir courses, but they're in the late afternoon/early evening, so I'll have to make sure I'm fine for getting rides home. Still, I would like to do that, 'cause I wanna keep singing. Plus, I have to do either a double major or a specialist because of co-op (which is sad, 'cause I wanted to do a religion minor, which I still could do, but that would leave me with next to no elective courses), and so either a double major in drama and music or a specialist in visual and performing arts (I think it's called arts and culture or something, but it basically involves a drama major and then taking courses in other arts area(s), AKA MUSIC!) would be the choices that would be natural for me to choose. They are my two passions afterall.
Does anyone else have any suggestions on what I should do?
Anyway... yeah. I still can't believe that I'm almost done highschool. It really does scare/sadden me. Not because I want to keep on doing schoolwork... I'm glad that that's over... I just don't want to leave the people. I'm just too sentimental, and I know it.
[EDIT]( a minor rant on some of the posts on my friends list )
Anyways, I should go andwaste my time in other ways study now... ^^;
( quizzies )
COUNTDOWN: 5 more days till I'm done all highschool-related work FOREVER! (teacher-related work doesn't count... :P)
Random fact: It takes Erik (the Phantom) 2 hours to do makeup!
PS: Happy Daddy's day. ^_~
