A random update on life

Not an epic costume update, sadly. =P

It's official: my eldest female cousins on both sides of my family are engaged. One is a year younger than me, the other, a few years older. I'm happy for both of them, and kinda jealous (if any of you guys don't know about my lack of love life by now..... let's just say that I still don't have one. XD)

Costumes that are not cake are... coming along, I think.
I managed to finish the pink bunnies on my duster. But I tried washing it and the colours didn't run, but not all the ink that is on the white material came out. It faded, yes, bu not out entirely. The stuff that mom scrubbed came out more though... so I'll probably try to scrub the rest of them.... and maybe wash it again, since I know I don't have to worry about bleeding. Unfortunately, this means I can't hem it yet, 'cause I want to iron in the creases before I hem, 'cause that's how I like working, but if I iron now I'd set the stains (I mean, I've even been washing in cold water and not putting it near the dryer as to NOT set the stains!!!). So... I will probably scrub this evening and then maybe wash it properly again, and then work on hemming tomorrow or Wednesday.

I should be getting the rest of the fabric I need today. Yes, there's less than two weeks and only NOW am I getting some of my fabric. >.< But I'm getting it half-off... so.... yay? I don't know, but I say yay anyway. XD

So WHY did I do my embroidery now when there was technically other stuff I could be doing? Well... for starters I kinda... wasn't home most of the weekend. I was at a money management course, and church. Any mom's school. At the course, I was actually going to put my embroidery away, but one of the people not only invited me to do it, but was knitting through it herself. So I was quite welcome to work on my bunnies. ^^
Yay work that can be done not at home!

Also: It looks like I'll be volunteering in the library with my mom for the rest of the school year. Or until I get a job. Whatever comes first. Doing a lot of... time-consuming stuff, but probably also a little teaching-type-things.
I spent Friday going through books to see what was published before 1995, and marking it so my mom could see if she should pull it or not. I only got through four shelves, but that's a LOT of books. So I have numerous more days worth of that to do. ^^
And it's weird, but I actually enjoy doing that. It's kinda tedious, but I don't mind at all, because I have to concentrate just enough or just little enough that my imagination can do what it likes and I can still get it done properly. Stuff like that... I like. ^^

Especially saying that my imagination can be rather.... imaginative at times. ^^;
