Well, good morning lj.
It's warm today... so I decided not to wear my winter coat. First day in a long time I've done that. Instead, well....
Do any of you have articles of clothing that remind you of certain characters? Not cosplay stuff, but things in your normal wardrobe?
My nana and grandad... a couple years ago now, got me a coat for Christmas. A spring/fall coat, it's not heavy at all. It's about knee-length, does up only with snaps, and is red. And my first reaction when I saw it was "FMA". Does it look exactly like the cloak from there? No. It's about a foot too short, has plaid, and does up with snaps. But the way that it falls, and the way that it sits.... it does remind me of it when I wear it. And so, of course, I've developed a habit of wearing a fair amount of black when I wear it, especially when I'm not wearing it every day.
...so here I am at school, with my hair braided, wearing almost all-black in the most non-Goth way possible (sweater and cords are solid black, t-shirt asks you to relax because it's only a stage kiss (oh, drama society... how I love you)), and really not looking at all like an Elric. And yet... the feeling's there.
...I kinda wish there were more characters/muses of mine that I could tie clothing to. ...though sometimes I DO carry around a bunny, but...... that's under very specific circumstances. XD
It really does look nice out though, I really think I might go wandering around the wooded part of campus for a while a bit later, maybe stop somewhere and read.....

two_powers and burn it... it's a FF CD, and... one of the songs is in my head right now. I'm playing it on youtube right now, but really... I'd like the whole CD. It's really pretty, and.... there's a lot of good songs on there.
On an unrelated note, I saw someone with a Yugioh backpack on my way in this morning. I didn't get to talk to him, but we were headed in the same direction for a while, so I caught up to verify at least that it WAS at least a Yugioh backpack before heading up to the deserted classroom where I am now. (It's a quiet study room, which can also be used for quiet... anything else. I've been in here for about a half-hour now, and no one's even come in besides me. I have the lights out and am sitting next to one of the two windows in the two left-hand corners of the room... so the natural light is ocming in and I can see the trees and melted snow outside. It's.... really pretty.
But, yeah. Go Yugioh backpack? Part of me wanted to say that I loved his backpack to him.... and hopefully it wouldn't come off as an insult because... umm... 1) I kinda mean it, 2) I'm carrying a Fruits Basket purse, 3) ......I have a mini-Al in my pocket. (Yes, really. I got it at the Dollar Cool in Market Village. =D SOO CUUUUUUTE! And technically this one isn't mine... long story. But I couldn't find "mine", so this one's with me instead today.)
But meh.
As to WHY I'm at school on a Friday, when that's normally my day off:
I have to see two music lectures this semester. And almost all of them are on Fridays. I went to one early in the semester dealing with art songs. That was wonderful. (Vocal music, actually was done by my choir director... it was awesome though I was feeling like crap that day....)
And today, there's one on Musicians in Ordinary (90% sure we're talking religious ordinary). It's apparently a soprano and lute. Soon as I heard that, my inner fangirl went going... I think it's the lute's fault. So hopefully it will be great too.
Also: I think my Al-muse overlaps with my Finland-muse. (Wizard!Al in particular, whose muse just so happens to be the strongest of my FMA-based ones right now... ^^;) Both enjoy the outdoors, and relatively simple things. This might evolve over time... but yeah.
