1001paperboxes here! Thank you in advance for creating an awesome thing for me! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Under the cut, you'll find a general list of my likes and dislikes, and then some added info on each of my prompts. I hope there's something that sparks your interest. <3
I debated very hard on whether to include both the anime and manga in my sign-up, and decided against it for Maximum Variety Of Requests reasons. That said, I am fully caught up on both the anime and the manga insofar has been translated into English (and have marvelled at Fujita's sneak peak of sleepy Hirotaka's bright pink underwear) so please feel free to include whatever you want from wherever you want! I'm pretty much good for any and all Wotakoi content, particularly if it stays true to the feel of the original—I'd prefer the same sort of heartwarming-to-silly and always quite nerdy feel, no matter where you go. But beyond that, the sky's the limit.
My number one request for this fandom is and will probably always be OT4 fic. I mean, Narumi, Hirotaka, Hanako, and Tarou have all admitted to be dating each other's normal type. And with the shipping and fanservice between the boys, and how well the girls just go together.... yeah. Just. OT4 fic would be absolutely wonderful. Give me them getting together and figuring it out, or being together on a group datem or figuring how sex works with everyone, or just doing exactly what they did as friends except with an added romantic element. Give me them figuring out how it would work, and dealing with internalized homophobia. Give me them being dorks and being domestic, or preparing for a con, or doing a group cosplay, or whatever else you want. You could do just about anything and I'd be super happy. For that matter, I'd take it all platonic, too, but the OT4 potential is too strong and I want it. ToT
That said, I love the couples as they are, or in any other one-on-one combination. Weird pseudo-dates between Narumi and Tarou and/or Hirotaka and Hanako? Good. The girls having fun together as soulmates, and fantasizing about and/or writing friendfiction about the boys, or the boys, shockingly, actually doing things on their own? AMAZING. (Much to Narumi's potential dismay, and Hanako's delight, I am 100% for Kabakura on top out of the two boys.)
I'd also adore anything with the younger characters. Nao-chan is the best ray of sunshine and otaku-enthusiast despite being clueless about anything actually otaku-related, and his relationship with Kou, and with Ken-chan and Yokkun are all so adorable. I'd love anything shippy or friend-fluff-y with them, including general hang-outs and/or getting advice from the older group.
Another thing that I'd absolutely love is sibling-y stuff with the Nifujis. Want to show Naoya being more or less Hirotaka's housewife, or Hirotaka actually giving Naoya some older siblingly adivce? I will adore it. Equally good would be a look back at their childhood—we've got some snippets of things mentioned in canon, and expanding on them would be lovely. As would anything involving one or both of them and Narumi back in the era when they were childhood friends.
If you want to play around with any of the oneshot-ish AUs from the managa, such as the genderbent versions of everyone, or angel/devil AU, that could also be a lot of fun.
Overall like I said at the start, keep things fun and heartwarming and nerdy, and I will absolutely love all of it. So please, have fun!
Dramacon is an over-15-year-old series for which there is currently very little fan content, and for which I'd like basically anything and everything.
I'd equally love to see some "where are they now?" type stuff, or a reinvention of the canon, updating and seeing what (if anything) in the story would change with the way the world is now versus when it was written. Things just generally set in this slice-of-life universe are also very welcome; some slightly more specific prompts below.
I'd love to see everyone reconnecting at a convention again, whether it's one, ten, or more years later. Is it Chrissie's first time appearing as a guest, or is she still just a regular congoer/doing AA? Did Chrissie and Matt manage to actually stay in contact over the course of a whole year for once? Is anyone married with children, and do their kids attend conventions yet? (And if so, how many pictures has Monica taken of them?) Has Sexy Joe been banned yet, or is he still running around in up to his old tricks?
Focusing on any of the canon relationships would be lovely. Want to show how Matt and Christie's relationship evolves post-canon? Great! Wanna catch us up on how things are working out between Beth and Raj? Great! Wanna go over how Sandra and Greta's relationship began? Amazing! A very nerdy wedding for any of these couples would also be really neat to see, if you want to guide them through something like that.
There are also some great secondary characters that we never really get to learn enough about, particularly Firebird Studio and Greta. I'd absolutely adore if you dug into one or more of them. Tell me how Firebird Studio got off the ground, or show me the Green siblings' relationship from Greta's perspective, for example, and I'll absolutely adore it.
Holiday-wise... Okay, so, where I'm from, there's a tiny industry-run convention that happens every year in December, and generally manages to be little more than an overcrowded dealer's room and everyone showing up in their slightly-more-Christmassy-than-usual cosplays. If you wanted to do a take on that with the cast, and have them all show up in holiday cosplay and try to buy each other Christmas presents without anyone noticing (and/or exchange ones gotten at other times) I would gleefully adore it. Of course, a more full-scale con would also be a lot of fun, but there is something about the absolute trash of a "dealer's room and not much else" convention that I think could make for a fun disaster.
Of course, conventions are not all there is to life. If you'd like to explore, say, Christie spending Christmas with the Greens, that could be a delight. One thing I'd actually really love is Raj celebrating Diwali. Bonus points if he very self-consciously brings Beth along. Bonus bonus points if the the rest of the Firebird Studio is there too, peanut gallerying.
In short, give me some good, nerdy, con-life content, or some good, nerdy, not-currently-at-a-con-life content, about anything from Beth figuring out how to rebuild and strengthen her relationship with her mom while staying true to herself, to Christie finally learning how to make a good cosplay, and I'm sure I will love it immensely.
Fangs is such an adorable webcomic! I love the way that Sarah Andersen has played with vampire and werewolf tropes in making this universe, and how she's created such an adorable and quirky couple. Playing around with vampire and werewolf lore, and having them compare and contrast their experiences to those in classics and popular fiction is definitely encouraged, as is just seeing Jimmy and Elsie figuring each other out and negotiating their relationship.
Thanks to the rather snapshot-ish nature of canon, there's a lot in the comics that could be more fully explored. If you wanted to take one or more individual episodes and expand upon them (like Full Moon, or Selfie, or Return, or literally any other one) that could be lovely.
There's a lot of relationship milestones that could be fun to explore as well. We know they move in together from the shared closet; what was that process like? Do you think that they will eventually get married? Have children? What is that like? I'd especially love to see their respective pre-wedding celebrations and rituals, or to have them decide to adopt a third type of supernatural creature, if you'd be interested in either of these options.
On that note, it'd be neat to see more of Jimmy's pack, or to explore vampire society a bit more, or in general how monsters exist within the world of Fangs. Are they well-known to exist within society, or is it more of an underground subculture? How many of their own kind do Jimmy and Elsie know? (And how popular, exactly, is the Odditorium with humans and monsters alike?)
If you want to go into Jimmy or Elsie's past; how they became the monsters that they are, feel free. If you want to show the future, and what it's like for Jimmy to age while Elsie stays eternally 26, feel free as well.
What are their respective rituals like, and how do they introduce them to each other? Do they try to blend them together in their new relationship at all? I'd love to see any vampire or werewolf-specific holidays, and/or Elsie still keeping some traditions from the late 17th century and Jimmy having his own rather minimalistic ways of celebrating (or every holiday literally being "well I get together with the pack and we howl at the moon"), and how they make their own traditions together.
There's just so much to explore within this webcomic, and I'm sad that it's a short as it is. Any exploration of Jimmy and/or Elsie is welcome, as is exploration of the wider world. I'm sure I'll adore whatever you create.
I would love worldbuilding for this book! The mix of steampunk with near-futuristic technology is fascinating, and the history leading from the Victorian period to the present day, likewise, could do with a lot of delving into. I love all the little inserted bits we get between chapters, and I'd love to see more of that or anything else you'd like to do.
One specific request that I have if you're up to the challenge: Explain why the Princess of Wales Theatre exists in this timeline. You see, the theatre where they see Anne of Green Gables is a real Toronto theatre which was originally built for Miss Saigon—a musical that is basically Madame Butterfly set in the Vietnam War, because no other major commercial theatre could properly house the helicopter scene. However, Miss Saigon would likely not exist given the state of America in That Inevitable Victorian Thing, and it's questionable that Madame Butterfly would for that matter. So, what is the alternate history of this theatre?
If you'd like to do something a little more character or relationship-driven, I would absolutely love to see how things develop post-canon with the main trio. How do all the families react to the rather interesting three-way engagement? How do Helena and August adjust to royal life? Did the Marcuses have any idea that their daughter is intersex? And does that lead to any research holes on that part? Does the scandal completely get swept under the rug, or how does it affect things going forward?
I'd also love anything with Fanny and Hiram and their blossoming relationship, or anything from the "downstairs" POV. If you'd like to retell part of the story from one of their or another servants' perspective, I'd also love that.
In short, have fun with the world and its characters, with all the complexities it brings. I look forward to seeing what you will create!
I've selected the TV drama for What Did You Eat Yesterday? because I'm admittedly not caught up on the manga. That said, I've read a good portion of it (including some of Fumi Yoshinaga's NSFW doujin >.>) and am fine with spoilers for bits that I have not. So if you want to throw in some manga stuff, that's quite all right by me!
Honestly, I'd just like some comfortable domestic content with Kenji and Shirou, but how you want to do that's completely up to you. I'd equally love something set around the holidays (Do they have ramen together while watching the Johnny's countdown? Does Shirou ever mix up the Christmas meal?) and/or something just exploring their lives. Food content is very welcome but not necessary; if you'd like to focus away from cooking, please feel free.
While I'd prefer something focusing on the main couple, I'm also very okay with the secondary cast showing up as well. Want to have Kenji convince Shirou to come to an event with the salon staff? Great. Want Kayoko to share a Christmas cake after she somehow ended up with three? Amazing. I'd prefer not a great focus on Daisaku and Wataru if possible (nothing against them, just would prefer other characters foregrounding), but really anything goes.
If you can capture that lovely slice of life feel of this show, then you'll have done an amazing job. And no matter what, I can't wait to see what you've come up with.
Admittedly, I've only seen the anime for this, but I'm okay with manga spoilers. Also, I have been starry-eyed about the mere existence of the Takarazuka Revue for over a decade now, so if please include all the Takarazuka nerdery that your heart desires. =D
I'd particularly like to see something set at a different part of the timeline than canon itself. For instance, I'd love to see the 100th class getting ready for their debut. Do some of them eventually become top stars and/or top musumeyaku? Do two of them somehow end up as a golden combi?
Or, on the other hand, how did the teachers end up working there, and what were their lives like beforehand? I'd especially love to see more about Andou Mamoru or Narata Taichi if you go this route, but I'd be curious about any and all of the teachers that we meet.
I don't have a lot of specific ships that I'd like to see or have avoided, so if there's one you'd like to explore, please feel free. (My one caveat is that I'd prefer students with students and teachers with teachers, but beyond that, have whatever fun you want.) Otherwise, gen is also very, very fine. If you'd like to do a slightly different format and give me more of an interview or other in-world document, I'd also very much appreciate that.

General Notes
- I particularly like fluff, slice of life, and hurt/comfort, and generally things that can make me laugh and/or want to hug someone.
- If you have a holiday-y idea, then I am 100% on board. I am a giant Christmas nerd, admittedly, but would love to have stories about any holiday, real or imaginary. (Want the Wotakoi cast go to a shrine on New Year's and have Hanako be the only one who knows how to properly put on a kimono? Go for it! Want to have Jimmy celebrate a werewolf-only holiday and/or have werewolf-specific customs for traditional holidays? Yes please! Want to show what modern-day-victorian-steampunk!Christmas looks like? GIANT HEART EYES FROM ME.)
- I like relatively happy endings. Please do not leave me in heartbreak and with people dead everywhere. (People dead everywhere in the beginning and rebuilding together is much better. XD)
- On that note, if doing hurt/comfort, please focus on the comfort and not on the hurt.
- Mentions of sex and/or kink are very, very fine, though I'd prefer something with plot to something that's just pwp sex.
- Suffice to say, this is not my first rodeo, and I've requested a lot of these fandoms before. A lot of my requests are the same from year to year (I'll admit to have done a fair amount of copy/pasting) but if there's anything in my requests from other exchanges that you'd like to include, please feel free. Chances are, I'm still very interested.
