Sunday -- the rambler's report

Okay...
So... guess who's blog was on the last cluster to be re-uploaded?
Friday, I found that my blog was down and it wasn't back up until I got home from church on Sunday.
Tee hee hee... church was fun...
Joyce and I sat with Jason [McGowan until further notice] during the communion service, and talked about random stuff beforehand, such as playing Cranium. The two of us wondered when the rest of the youth would show up... because we <3 them. ^_^
After communion, I went out to the fellowship hall, and helped to set out chairs. I was going to have a random chat, but then people realized they were needed in the sanctuary, so Jason and I, having no such need, sat down and held a meeting of the Shakespeare Appreciation club. Population: 2. We then started speaking in Old English... attracting Jen and Ryan over.
Somewhere during there Jason and I talked about Monty Python. Anyone here know the sketch with the two salesmen, where one multiplies everything by ten and the other divides everything by two? Well... WHY CAN THEY PROPERLY SAY WHAT EACH OTHER'S PROBLEM IS?!?!?!?
That's bothered me for a while now... and... Jason didn't have an answer either. So... I'm curious if anyone else does.
Anyways... back to where Jason and I were sitting along with Jen and Ryan. Linda comes out and... well... this happened:
LINDA: Jason and Joyce... *looks at me*
ME: Umm.... I'm not Joyce...
LINDA: Jen... ummm *puts order of service up, covering mouth, then back down again* Hi Claire.
She then proceeded to ask us to do the offering, to which we agreed.
Apparently, right after that, more name problem happened within the church. Someone [Linda or Jim] mentionned that "Claire and Jason" were doing the offering... causing Jason [Withrow hereon in) to be a little confused, until realizing that they meant the other one.
I think I went off somewhere before heading to the cry room... where everyone else was. My reaction: "Ooh! There's people here!" I then sat down on a stack of kindergarten-height chairs until the service started, when I went in, attempting to drag others with me. Joyce said she needed to sit by the front, and so I sat with her, but we were suprised that basically everyone else, minus Shaun, was standing at the back, behind the last row of pews. We tried to drag them up with us, but failed. Then Joyce randomly decided she didn't need to sit so far up... so we moved to the empty row right in front of Shaun. Everyone but Jason went and sat beside Shaun moments later, and then the service actually began.
Joyce and I were trying to figure out why Jason was still standing at the back... but he just wanted to stay back there until after he had done... what he was asked to do... which was carry flags with Shaun. After that he came and sat down with Joyce and I, where he stayed until he had to leave for work about 15 minutes before the service ended.
The service wasn't a normal one... it was the dedication of the cross, changing of the flag (to the one that has been our church's official flag since... /01), and the setting apart of Uncle Peter as pastor. Weee!
So... Jason and Shaun were in charge of carrying the flag... Joyce read, Danica assisted, and the other Jason and I did the offering. (He tried to leave the sanctuary to put away the plates at the wrong time, and I was mockingly scolding him for it... twas fun).
Despite that, it was not a youth-oriented service, though we got mentionned as being a "leadership-based youth". Actually, I'm suprised, with the number of things involved, that they didn't get more of us doing things in sibling groups. They seem to have a habbit of doing that. Apparently Pat Long was suprised that I didn't sing during the service, but I wasn't asked to... so... erm... I didn't.
But I digress.
After the service was a luncheon. Pot luck, and lotsa pasta dishes! YUM!!!! ^_^
I ate... drank tea... and went to the cry room. There, I learned that Sarah wants to see Shaun and Jen's baby. Coupling this with the fact that mere weeks ago, she was telling Jason and I that we were destined to be together because there were pictures of us planting trees at the ages of 4 and 2 respectively... I decided that she was too much into the conspiracy. I then asked her if she was going to ask Ryan why he wasn't with Danica next... and... she did. -_-'
Umm... more randomness happened... but that's basically the story of my Sunday.
Yes... this was a waste of time, and too much rambling for something that happened over... what? 2.5 hours? ^^;

Random fact: I can still do the choreo from the Wizard of Oz. The same stuff that I had to re-teach everyone because I was the only one to remember it a month before we went on (and I'm very much not a choreographer)... ^^;
