Help me say goodbye
Jun. 26th, 2004 10:12 pmWell, another week has passed. I find it a little hard to believe, but it has.
So, what have I been doing since the last post? ( Well... )
And that's the week through to Wednesday. As for Thursday, well, that was a pretty full day. I went to school for exam review day first.
( what happened there )
Was that the end of my day? No, although I wish it was. ( :( )
Thursday ended on a rather bad note. When we were getting to leave our uncle's funeral, Granddad came to the car and gave us some very unexpected, and very bad news.
They're going to get rid of the trailer.
They were going to sell it to Aunt Aarland and Uncle Ron, but since the latter has passed away, Aunt Aarland is unsure as to whether or not she would be able to take it anymore.
Apparently, last night Nana called and said that she is reconsidering taking it, and dad suggested offering it to Uncle Peter, but things are still very much up in the air.
Joyce was in tears when she found this out, and I don't blame her. Getting rid of the trailer... it's pretty hard for either of us to take. We've grown up going there every summer. Playing in the sandbox, walking to the beach, being right beside the Williamses, playing bingo, going swimming... Not being able to do any of that anymore... it's pretty unbelievable. It's just one more goodbye that I may be forced to make now, one more thing to become only a memory.
But yeah... in case you haven't figured it out by now Jen, this means I won't be going up there with Nana this year as thought/planned. No matter how this turns out.
I really think that all these goodbyes are getting to me. I think that's why I had the dream I had Friday morning (I know that it was in the morning because I woke up at just before 7:00, went back to sleep and then got up at 8, and had the dream during that hour). I don't remember what happened during most of it, but near the end, 2 people ended up dead, trapped in a glass wall around the building I was in. I was afraid to look at them--I never did. I found out that it happened because someone in the room with me looked out the window and saw, and then it was on the news. I know who it was too. One was a guy at the funeral (I think he's related to Becky and Aaron on the other side of their family), and the other one was someone from school. By the time I finally had built up the strength to look, they had been removed, and there was a hole in the wall. Yeah, I'm not an expert at interpreting dreams or anything, but I think it has something to do with too many goodbyes over too short a time.
( And then there was Friday. )
( And now, for a Wicked interlude )
( today... )
A few days ago, my mom gave me two painted egg shells. One of them broke today. I feel sort of like the egg shell. Not broken into many pieces necessarily, no. I'm still basically whole (I think ^^;). It's just, well, eggs and thus eggshells, are very strong when used the right way. However, if touched in the wrong way, they break very easily. Life is sort of like that. The balance in life is very fragile. People can be very strong, but sometimes it takes just one little thing for the entire thing to break into many pieces. Things are starting to get to me right now. I'm getting close to falling and breaking. I just hope it doesn't happen.
Of course, I could just be overreacting. This is just me being philosophical/poetic.
Question: has anyone but me noticed how often Ozian quotes show up... everywhere?
I swear, I see one almost every day... it freaked my sister when she finally realized I wasn't joking about it... we've found 2 today while watching various TV shows... ^^; And no, we aren't going searching for them, we just find them... everywhere. (Seriously, I put a page in my production book about this.)
Before I go, I have a few announcement-type things.
1) If you haven't seen these pics already, go here. They're pics taken by Aaron Waugh of Stuart being soaked on the Thursday of MOGA. I feel sorry for him... he managed to get overly wet 3 out of 5 days that week... but the second picture there in particular is quite funny, as there is a
levitating garbage can!
That amuses me to no end. (Oh, and if you're wondering... Jen stole those pics from Aaron and thus I'm stealing them from her without really stealing them... don't mind me. ^^;)
2) If you are, or know of any Gifties who enjoy LIFE, Twister (the game), and maybe HP and have too much time on your/their hands this summer... then we in the giftie triangle want *points* YOU to come and join us for an afternoon of randomness.
(Yes... when used correctly, that combination of stuff can be used to make quite an entertaining time... *insert rant on meeting guys at the alter, pink cars, becoming philosophers, and mail order brides here*) *cheesy grin*
Well, methinks that is all for now. Onto the ( quizzies )
Random fact:Ding Dong the Witch is Dead made #82 on the AFI top 100 songs...
And #1....
Somewhere Over The Rainbow!
My parents and I managed to guess the top 3. That was cool. ^_^
