So, I went away overnight from Tuesday-Wednesday up at Kincardine (about an hour away from Sauble... ;_;). Mom didn't believe me on the way up that I thought it would be two hours from Orangeville, but it was. It passed the "Phantom test" (AKA me listening to the original cast recording of POTO, which is 2 hours, or approx. 1.5 if you fast foreward through the dead space at the end of sides 2-4) with flying colours. Yay for my old, pink walkman. May you never die on my like Joyce's stuff does.

We went up there because Aunt Lynne and Uncle Dale had rented a cottage for the week and had invited us. Mom didn't bring HP, so we didn't think we'd be reading any of it up there, but Aunt Lynne had it... and had just finished reading it, so we were free to read. ^____^ We're halfway through now... (I would have been done within the first two DAYS if I was reading by myself...)

We went cycling at McGregor Park on Tuesday, and went around Kincardine on Wednesday. Went to the beach for an hour, came home with a minor sunburn. ^^; I burn WAYYYY too easily.

We stopped off at the Pine River Cheese Factory too. They had cheese fudge. Yes, really. No, I'm not a fudge person, so don't ask me how it was. I did sample it, but I was like meh. The horseradish cheese was... interesting...

But yeah. That's basically everything that went on... except for the campfire around which we made fun of a few people, and Aunt Lynne and Uncle Dale told us what the Blue Man Group concerts are like...

*sigh* My mom worries too much. I know that her heart's muchly in the right place, but we generally know what we're doing. And if we don't, then chances are that we won't have the answer for her ENDLESS follow-ups. (Dad's currently upset at her about it, like I was a week ago, and she was FURIOUS at me because I was frustrated with her....)

So... I had to redo my schedule last week. Forget whether or not I said anything about that before. I now have full Mon-Wed all year long (last class on Monday ends at 5 1st semester, last class on Tues. ends at 6 all year long... other days have "normal" beginning/end times), and then I flip between having no classes on Thursday and one on Friday, and vice-versa. My schedule was slightly nicer before, but drama threw me a curve ball, and my love of the subject meant I had to completely change two other classes for ones that I was a)interested in and b)were NOT full. >.<

1st semester:

Classics
(it's on the Gods)
Drama (self-explanitory)
Collaborations in the Arts (the course you need to take ANYTHING in the arts)
Listening to Music (probably will be a blow-off course, but I needed another course, and I might have needed to take it because I haven't taken music in school since grade 9)
Women's Studies (AKA the class that will keep me late Tuesday nights all year long, but it sounds interesting. Yay for XX's!)

2nd Semester

Drama
(Yay for drama geeks!)
Music (no practical, but meh... the music minor has no practical, and the times for the choir-ish stuff is overly bad for non-residence students, so it's easier for me to just try for my grade 9 -> ARTC outside of school)
Critical Writing/Thinking on Poetry (2 second year English courses I needed for the co-op program I'm no longer taking, but Mom says I should stay in anyway)
Women's Studies (See 1st semester)

So... yeah. That's where I stand right now. I'm probably gonna need to get a job during the school year (or, heavan forbid, tutor more than ONE student per semester...), but that's fine.

Of course... it means I have to go job hunting... *eeps and hides*

I'm going up to reunion a day early, 'cause dad needs to be there. I'm guessing that means the Shepherdsons are too... but that will make... 4 camps on a row that I will be there a day early for, from Sr /04 to Sr /05.

Now for something really random. I'm teaching myself this song. No, I'm not crazy. Yes, it is amusing.

And then there's the parodies of it. (I'm not a Star Wars fan, but this one made me laugh... especially the last bit...)

Quizzies and the like )

COUNTDOWN: 8 days till Noronto, 9 till Reunion.

Random fact: Gilbert and Sullivan didn't always get along so well... and yet they could write pure awesomeness together...
