So... I'm back from my first day of school.
It was good.
I miss highschool though... *hugs everyone from Sinclair who's reading this*
So, what did I do today?
Well... I got to school at 8-ish, with 2 hours until classes. It took me half an hour to find one of them because it was in a new building that is still under construction with no room signs up. I wasn't the only one to get lost... not only were there students trying desprately to find their rooms, but there was a woman who couldn't find her way to the office she was supposed to report to for her first day of work! >.<;
Anyways... I found my other classrooms and still had an hour left before I needed to be anywhere... so I read 2 more chapters of LOTR. (I'm almost done book one, so I'm about 1/6 of the way there, not including prefixes/apendacies...)
My first class was drama. I went to the classroom with half an hour left, and hung around in the lobby with other people (all girls, then a couple guys showed up) until it was time to head in. We got an overview of the course and a tour of the theatre department. It was awesome, and we were all laughing a lot. That's gonna be an awesome course. We have to do 10 hours of tech/behind-the-scenes work, but I think it should be fun. I like being at least minorly a techie... ^_~
The next thing was classics. That's the one that was in the room I couldn't find. I come back, and they've taped up signs. I was like... WHAT? NOOOOOOO!
...and then I had to find a seat in the nearly packed house. I did, and all was well.
That class should be good. Not as good as drama, but good nonetheless.
I had my lunch hour next. I talked with a girl from my classics class... it was nice. ^_^ Hopefully, I'll be able to hang out with her again sometime. ^_^ Then again... everyone seems so friendly in general! I love that fact about this place... ^_^
In the afternoon, I have two classes in the same room, back-to-back, so I don't have to move between 2 and 5. Both classes (collaborations in the arts and listening to music) were good. Drama's going to be my favourite, but it's cool having 3 arts courses in one semester. I would have taken vocal music too... but it was at a BAD time for me (late evenings...).
...then... I came home. I had beefaroni for dinner and then washed the dishes and had tea.
So that was my day.
Tomorrow's my "do stuff" day, since I only have one class (I should have 2, but one of them won't be starting for another week or two... and the same with the fitness class(es) that I'm thinking of adding to fill the void), so I'm going to spend my time getting books and a locker, and looking at clubs at the university and such. Oh, and I'll be reading more LOTR too.
