(no subject)

The dreams about not getting my costumes done in time for AN have started. @.@

Also: Who knew it could take over an hour and a half to cut out all the pieces from one pattern envelope? @.@

Need to get to Fabricland in Ajax this week (or anywhere else not Whitby/Oshawa, Ajax is just most likely), sale on Simplicity patterns means I can get a cheerleader pattern means making Dramacon will be much easier.

Also need to get a burgendy leotard and a bunch of silver buttons with lions on them.
And a cross. And thread to match the leotard. And figure out how to make that hat. And maybe buy that other hat.

At least I found Finland's belt yesterday. In my sister's closet. Gonna poke her and tell her I'm taking it, but there shouldn't be any problems, so woohoo free belt. =D


It's weird though, lately, my dreams have been a lot more topical than I've ever noticed before. Like, for the past week and a half, give or take, it's always had to do somehow directly with the previous day. Which makes sense, the brain processing the events of the day. But still, it's odd that it would happen so frequently. Usually I'll have at least SOME dreams that... don't have anything to do with anything.... ^^;

So, I'm behind in my book count. No surprise there. But I'll catch up, just you see.

Today, I read an amazing book though. It's tuesdays with Morrie. (Yes, the lowercase t on tuesdays is sic (ie: on the title words, not an error on my part). =P)

I actually picked that book up a week and a half ago (a Friday) because, well, because of the title. If you can't guess why, let's just say that my Honey-muse was confused because "can't I be with Takashi all the time?" But... yeah. On the Saturday, I brought the book with me, I was cosplaying AS Honey... (gaaah, why is it that I love that cosplay, but a good number of the pics I see of me in it make me want to go "GAAAAH Why can't I photograph better?" but meh. XD)
Whenever it's uploaded... there should be a pic of me eventually holding it so it looks like the title is correct for that purpose, while in cosplay. But we'll see when that happens.


anyway.

That book... is so profound. I started reading it that Saturday.... I only really got done the introduction, and it was making me laugh and cry already.

I wanted to hold off for a Tuesday to finish it, because I'm sentimental like that.

And so I did.

And.... wow.


...I don't think I've ever read something so much about death before. But... it was so much more than that, too. It....
I really just want to hug someone right now. And to have a long chat. Maybe with numerous people, maybe over a meal or something. maybe not.

I think I might have to get my own copy of this book. It.... yeah. It's really moving. And there's a lot of truths in it... and......

It just really was a wonderful read.
