May. 31st, 2009 10:21 pmEmailed NAF people on Friday about space for running hosting/cafe-ish stuff. Hopefully will get email back within day or two. They said to expect something within 48 hours on the website, but it's also the weekend, so I'm leaving it for longer before I try contacting again/in a different way.
Planning cafe-type-thing of non-Ouranness on Saturday, and hosting on Sunday.
Should be fun.
Also planning to do... a lot of other panels. XD Because am crazy, and enjoy getting in free, and getting others in for free too. XP
Yesterday, I managed to get a new outfit for myself... more or less peasant blouse + peasant skirt. A different look for me, but it's cute.
Before that, I went into chapters, looking for a Father's Day gift, and volume 1 of Ouran. I didn't see anything that was screaming "dad" to me (despite the numerous tables saying "perfect for dad"-ish things on the signs), but I did find volume 1 of Ouran, and... unexpectedly, volume 12. And I didn't even know volume 12 was out yet, so I decide I'll get it. Got my mom's irewards, and went in line to get the books. Figured I had a $20 gift card, it would almost completely cover it.... and then, when I'm right up to buy it, I find out that it's double discount day. So the irewards gave 20% off rather than the usual 10%. S-so...
I ended up spending $18.89. Which is 91ยข more than what US cover price says. So... not bad.
And then, I look inside volume 12, and see that the first press date is... June 2009. And it's May 30th. So I'm like.... "did I get this book before it's officially relased?"
And I look and... I did. >D The book's not actually due out until Tuesday.
So technically I have more of Ouran than is available in North America right now. >D
(If anyone's wondering, it goes up until when [spoiler, highlight]Kyouya returns to Japan from France[/spoiler]. So it's about a year and a half behind.)
Next volume's due out in November. So I'll either get it when it comes out, or at DTAC or... next year. (Ouran needs to come out more regularly... ToT)
Today there were some baptisms at church. 5 people got baptized, one adult, and 4 children, one of which was my little cousin. You have to be at least 8 to be baptized at my church... so it wasn't babies being baptized or anything. It was a very nice service, though I was running in and out to help with food. And then was singing. It was also about twice as long as usual, due to the bulk of things that had to be gotten through.
So I'm happy.
And I discovered that I definitely DO have a female England muse. She will state what is going on in her mind without restraint, if given the opportunity. That is not to say that she doesn't have tact. She certainly does. But... apparently she gets frustrated at Alfred rather easily.
Kael is glad, fem!England means that i have another character who loves tea.
I actually want to get a shot of fem!England reading a book i have out from the library right now, on tea. But I kinda... need to make Fem!England first.
Or get Fem!England. But due to my hatred of how shoulders on garments work for me on anything tailored and mass produced.... (with some but not much exception)... making miiight be the better option? I don't know. ^^;
If I find something double breatsed and green that fits me though... we'll talk.
Finland really wants me to reread everything involving him in Hetaliaverse. Which there isn't much of. I'll probably do that sometime next week.
He also wants to be with his family. And have epic borking. Or something. *flails wildly towards Fin's family*
So plans for the week: Monday is dentist, Tuesday is ortho, interview, then getting grad tickets. Wednesday... I need to go to the library, particularly if it's good weather.
Fair Thursday to Sunday.... hopefully go at least once.
Saturday's a memorial service at my church, I'm actually... debating going. For numerous reasons.
And then hopefully get job and start work next Monday? *idealist*
