I'm collecting cosplay references for making my Les Mis cosplays as I go, because a) I'm still teaching myself stuff (I'm pretty much completely self-taught with this sewing thing) and b) there's a bunch of things that I haven't done before, and that differ from the patterns that I have, even though I am lucky enough to have some patterns to borrow from reenactor family friends.
So, I may as well share these with the public, so others can be informed as well, if they so require.
My Regency Journey (References on male and female Regency outfits -- various parts.)
The Great Coat Sew-Along (Greatcoats: non-historic, but non-time-specific either)
A Shirt Tale (Shirt history, including ruffles, plackets, buttons)
Vani's Blog: Method of stitching neckline placket (What it says on the cover)
Placket Tutorial|Rachel Writes (What it says on the cover)
Fearless Placket: More Dress Shirt Construction (Plackets, supposed to be for sleeves, but apparently works for keyhole necklines too.)
How to Make a Cravat (What it says on the cover. Triangular and rectangular.)
Regency Cravat (Again, exactly what it says on the cover. Triangular.)
Expect more things to be added over the next few weeks. Especially as I try to teach myself how to do a short-waisted double-breasted jacket and waistcoat for someone I won't be able to do fittings with until two days before the event.... >.>
