So... I'm currently trying to decide what courses I want to take next year at UTSC.

The highlight of my quest thus far:
"PHLB13H3 Philosophy and Feminism
What is feminism? What is a woman? Or a man? Are gender relations natural or inevitable? Why do gender relations exist in virtually every society? How do gender relations intersect with other social relations, such as economic class, culture, race, sexual orientation, etc.?"

That whole "What is a woman? What is a man?" thing got me in giggles... ^^;

Seriously though... the whole Co-op requirement thing is confuzzling me. -_- One of the courses they reccommend taking has a pre-req for 4 FCEs to be completed. I'll have 2.5 by the end of my 1st semester. Soo... kinda CAN'T take that in 1st year.

Plus... you have to pay about half of a year's tuition over the 4 years (so... 8 payments of $312) in userfees for it. It seems a little stupid to me in a way... How much can you expect to make in a summer co-op work term I wonder? (Can you tell that the Claire-chan has had... next to no work experience?)

While working on my package of course selection prep stuff, I was listening to my two Phantom of the Opera soundtracks. Yes, I have 2.

Singing along is fun... but I need to work on strengthening my high notes. (Yes. My high notes. No, I'm not crazy. Yes, I am a 1st soprano... Yes, I love high notes... I'm hoping half of my problem right now is getting over my cold, but the gravelliness I was getting on some of them today's probably not the best sign... -_-... I need to see how high I can go.)

I love Raoul. And Meg. Two characters who I find are generally overlooked/not liked as much as they should. Meg fades into the background a lot it seems, but she'd give up anything for Christine's safety. So would Raoul. People are always on his case because he's bland. That may be true, but a) chances are there is a lot that we can't see in the length of time of a musical/book, and b) he wants to love Christine. He doesn't want to hurt anything that would be dear to her. Erik, on the other hand, would go to any length to have her. (Okay... maybe not any length... but pretty close.

In short, I am a Christine/Raoul fan. I don't have a problem with Erik/Christine or even Erik/Raoul, as people are convinced there was in the movie, but I prefer Christine with Raoul. Shoot me if you must.

Would anyone be suprised if I were to say that I've found a way to, in a crossover-esque plot bunny, managed to combine Meg and Raoul together almost seamlessly? *heh*

Anyways... back to work.

I still need to fill up waterballoons.

Fun.

:| Kyle MUST play Madame Giry.

Aww, pauvre Claire-chan. Umm, I'm supposed to make around $4000 over one semester of programming co-op, no more thant $6000. I don't know what would happen in your job though :S.

You should go to UTSC's co-op office and ask.
