box_of_doom | (no subject)

Those of you that know nothing about SHRP, (if you don’t know what that stands for then that would be you), please ignore this post. Well, you don’t have to ignore it, I suppose, but it’s geared towards my fellow RP-ers, so… umm… enjoy the mini-rant?

So, yesterday, some stuff went down. One girl got banned, and, like… 25-ish charas ended up being dropped between the people leaving with her, about half of which were charas that I normally play around with.

I, myself, am staying.

This in itself makes me sad though, because there goes some people that I like to rp with.

But that’s not the main issue.

People on both sides have been saying so many negative things.

I won’t say I know everything, but I would like to think that I know a fair amount, because I have talked to people from both sides, and I think I have a fairly good understanding at least.

The person who was indirectly responsible for the person being banned felt horrible, was even thinking of dropping out herself last night. She felt that bad. She did not want this to happen. Yes, there was tension between the two of them before, but she did not want this to happen.

I heard so many insults to her last night, a lot of them coming from people who I’m not sure even know who she is or who she plays. Correct me if I’m wrong.

The person who got banned, she did deserve it. She said so herself. She was the one that broke the rules, and so really, it’s her own fault. The people who left with her, most of them were upset about anonymous negative comments being given to them, and threats to be banned for being OOC. Frankly, I didn’t see any basis for these, only (if anything) the use of incest, and the characters being to blantant about it.

Yes, the talking back to the anon could have been avoided in most places and vented out otherwise. Yes, snarky comments were made by both sides.

And then, there’s the people commenting on their leaving. Frankly, I didn’t see much wrong with the characters. Maybe it’s because I was rping with them too. Yes, I did think that Klarth and Sengoku smexing it up regularily was a little much, and that has been mentioned at least once, but honestly? Do we need more insults?

Perhaps someone would like to correct me on something that I’m saying. If you have any disagreements or arguments, please tell me. I don’t want to seem a victim here, and I may not know the full story of what’s going on. If people want to give me other reasons why the people were ooc or that they don’t think that so and so did such and such or something, tell me.

I want to be neutral on this. I don’t want to be a victim and I don’t want to yell at people on either side.

Really, I just have one thing to say.

This is roleplaying. It’s supposed to be FUN.

It’s not supposed to make people upset. It’s not supposed to anger them or make them cry.

We’re all here for the same purpose, aren’t we? Just to have fun.

So why can’t we all just get along?

I still dunno who the person is, but s/he really did sound sorry, so I stopped after that. I have to admit, half the reason I left was 'cause I didn't like how the RP was now, and the other half was that all my RP buddies minus you were leaving, and it just wouldn't be fun anymore (not that RPing with you isn't fun, don't take that the wrong way)

Also, one thing I have to mention. The train log's never going to get to 2000 without all of us =P

And yes, RPing is supposed to be fun. I'unno what happened. =/

Hmm, so that's what's with the big list of dropped characters. It's sad to see everyone go.

I don't know exactly what happened either, and if I did I'm sure I'd want to stay out of it too.
